I feel very blessed that I am doing my dream job. I have always wanted to be a preschool teacher and teach amazing kids, and I get to do just that!
We had our Thanksgiving day party a few days ago. Mother Goose Time sent games and activities for us to play and do. We started off by talking about what we are thankful for. I was impressed by the things the students came up with. I was pleased to see that mom and dad was at the top of most of their lists. Some of the other things that were listed were dress up clothes, school, friends, bunnies, and my all time favorite… Pigs. 🐷
The craft was corn. I thought this was a little weird at first, but the students had so much fun. We used bubble wrap to paint on corn kernels. They thought it was fun to use the bubble wrap. After they painted and the corn dried, we tied string on the ends. This made it a Thanksgiving decoration they could hang up in their house.
The last game we played would of been more fun if I had all the materials. It was Turkey bowling. I couldn’t find enough water bottles to tape the turkeys to. So instead, I handed out the turkeys and had the students help me order them from 1 to 10. We taped them on the window, then threw a ball at it and identified the number the ball hit. The students had a lot of fun, but I still think that bowling would of been a little more fun.
I’m glad we get this time of year to reflect on all the things we are thankful for. I am definitely grateful for well behaved students who have a love for learning. I am grateful that I get to be their teacher. And I’m grateful for the easy to use, fun and engaging curriculum from Mother Goose Time. Happy Thanksgiving!
