It has arrived! We love getting our monthly Mother Goose Time box in the mail. The students love the fun engaging activities and I love how easy it is to use.
The first thing I do when I get my box is take out the interactive pieces that I use for my wall and put those in a safe place. These include letter cards, number cards, character trait, color and shape cards, theme poster, and calendar.
The bottom part of my wall is low enough so that small children can interact with the pieces. I have the students put the calendar pieces up as well as the weather pieces, number pieces, shape pieces and color pieces. The Theme poster, daily topic posters, and letter cards are all clothes pinned to the wall so I can easily remove them and use them during the lesson as needed.
The box has 20 lessons in it. Each are individually wrappped for your convenience. It’s easy to see what you will need to use for that lesson. If you decide to do a lesson with your child, you could easily pull out a bag and start doing the activities with your child right away. I like to open all the bags and organize them in folders for the month. This helps me stay organized and well prepared. I like to be able to look at the lesson a few days before I’m going to teach it and make sure I have everything ready and plan how I’m going teach the topic. I keep all the materials I might need in a separate bag labeled for that day. Then, I just grab the bag and the folder before the day begins and I am all set and ready to go!
This is going to be a great year. I can’t wait to get started!
** I receive curriculum from Mother Goose Time for honest and authentic stories resulting from my daily experiences using the curriculum. This is my 3rd year using Mother Goose Time, and I am pleased to promote quality educational learning experiences through play with Mother Goose Time!
